Focus on Skills

Financial services is changing, with new opportunities, responsibilities, and technologies emerging. These changes are reshaping jobs and new skills are required.

As the search for talent in the finance industry has become fiercer, we bring together experts from across financial services to discuss the new level playing field for attracting and developing talent.

Michael Fox, Managing Director of J.P. Morgan Bank S.E., Luxembourg Branch will open the event highlighting the most sought-after skills in finance and how financial institutions prepare their people for the future. We will also touch on  future ‘green jobs’ and sustainable finance with Sinor Chhor, Managing Director of Nordea Investment Funds, and Paul Chahine, Sustainability Research Manager at the Luxembourg Stock Exchange, as well as FinTech and the demand for tech talent with Ala Presenti, Head of Finance of Moniflo, and Alex Panican, Deputy CEO of The LHoFT.

As finance becomes more global and intertwined, Steve Jacoby, Regional Managing Partner for Continental Europe of Clifford Chance, Pascal Denis, Partner & Chief Strategy Officer at Deloitte and Vanessa Müller, Partner at EY will look at growing opportunities for lawyers, accountants and auditors, as well as the innovative skills that service providers need to cultivate to find solutions to challenges both old and new.

We will close the event with Stéphane Pallage, Rector of the University of Luxembourg and discuss how STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) continues to offer an important and attractive path to a career in finance.
